What does Power Designer include?

Wireframes, page layouts, theme and palette controls, gallery templates, and AI visual auto-layout. You leave with a designed report file for a model author, not a finished semantic model.

How is Power Designer different from the Theme Generator?

The Theme Generator is the free visual editor that writes Power BI theme JSON. Power Designer is the Tips+ design product (web and Fabric workload) for pages, layouts, and gallery projects. Use the generator for a theme file; use Power Designer when you need the page.

What does Tips+ have to do with it?

Power Designer unlocks with a Tips+ license. Manage that at the PowerBI.tips account portal. Tips+ is separate from a Microsoft Pro, PPU, or Fabric capacity license.

Does Power Designer run in Microsoft Fabric?

Yes. Power Designer is also offered as a Fabric workload (Tips+ License & Power Designer on AppSource). Your tenant still has to allow the workload. The web / Tips+ app is the other entry.

How do I get a Power Designer file into Power BI Desktop?

Export the project as a PBIP, extract it, and open it in Desktop. Tutorials on this site walk through gallery copy/edit and AI visual objects.
